On Clover Desktop 9.2.7.0 BSU (Previous - Stable) - First Reported on Cloverbook Series 3 (S3) (On Tacayn M8 Pro architecture [x86-64]) | Reported on 3rd of August 2026

Issue:

On the devices listed next to this text, there has been multiple error messages on boot (see below image), saying that the device(s) could not boot because of “unauthorized access”, and to “close your Cloverbook to prevent any more harm.”.

This screen has been there since Clover 5.7 SFU (Security Feature Update) to protect you against harm to your OS, data, or corruption to your system. Clover 9.2 BSU (Bugfix Service Update) introduced this bug that would randomly make this error appear, and stopping people from using their Cloverbooks. We have since fixed this issue in Clover 9.3 SPU (Security Patch Update), and you are advised to immediately update your Cloverbook(s). For people still suffering this, please press the Clover Key + SHIFT + R while turning your system on (for Windows Keyboards, its WIN + ALT + SHIFT + R) to enter Clover Recovery Environment, then press “Update (Online)”. your Cloverbook will connect to the internet and install 9.3 SPU. Please report any issues while trying to install 9.3 SPU.
